We all know the struggles that go with trying to lose excess body weight. We try and try but never seem to succeed. Many try one weight loss detox retreat after another just to come back to the same overweight or obese condition they have started with. Even some gain more weight than ever before. Then they blame the detox for slowing down their metabolism or blame other personal external conditions. But a slow Metabolism is rarely the cause of excess weight gain. It’s true that metabolism is linked to weight and your metabolism influences your body’s basic energy needs, but finally, it’s your food and beverage intake and your physical activity that ultimately determine how much you weigh. But there is more to it, there is also the chemical influence of foods we consume daily, we talk more about that later.
Steven Lichtman and his colleagues at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York came to the following conclusion after studying obese people – selected specifically because they swore they were eating less than 1200 calories but could not lose weight. Their Final Conclusion. “Failure of some obese subjects to lose weight while eating a diet they report as low in calories is due to an energy intake substantially higher than reported and an overestimation of physical activity, not to an abnormality in thermogenesis.”
Nevertheless, many people still conclude that it is actually in their genes, or they have a medical condition. Such as a hypothyroidism. But the fact is that 99% of the people struggling with being overweight or have an obesity problem is not a medical condition. It is indeed mostly a lifestyle problem with unhealthy eating habits.
But it is also important to understand that the underlying cause is chemical in nature. To advise to just simply detox, exercise more or eat more what people consider to be ‘healthy foods’ is not going to necessarily solve the problem. Yes, theoretically, weight loss and weight maintenance are simply about energy balance, the relationship between energy intake and energy output.
But far more important is to direct your focus on the interstitial cellular fluid chemistry condition. Every cell in the body is constantly surrounded by this fluid, and is, in fact, the real cause of every misbalance in the human body. Not only leads to obesity but also to the development of acute, subacute, chronic and degenerative conditions. Could this be the answer why are you not losing weight?
There’s no question about it—ditching bad habits and adopting good ones can be challenging!

Yes, there is no love more honest than the love of food! But should it go at the cost of losing our vigorous vitality and wellbeing? Let’s face it, we all love food, we all experience the emotional benefits of eating foods that affect our happiness levels. Everything is chemical in nature. A variety of chemicals inside foods affect our brain, via the release of particular neurotransmitters that are responsible for the way we feel emotionally. We become excited, foods lift up our moods, some are like a love drug, It satisfies our emotional eating, especially processed sugars or fats, i.e. chocolate. Chocolate releases additional serotonin and simply makes us feel good. One chemical that causes the release of serotonin into the brain is tryptophan, found in chocolate.
Among the fats in chocolate is one called anandamide, named after the Sanskrit word for “bliss”. Anandamide activates a receptor which causes dopamine production. Dopamine causes a feeling of intense well-being that people often associate with being high. We can go on and on… so what is the solution? We all want to decrease our levels of stress and pain. so if endorphins released through foods helps me to face another day, why not?

The Acid / Base Chemistry Influence Of Food Intake
Lose weight, easily, safely and effectively.
The Golden Key Of Detoxification is the solution to longterm weight loss. Because true detoxification will consider the importance of getting rid of interstitial cellular acidosis affecting every cell in the human body. Our food intake has an acid/alkaline chemistry influence in the body. The eroding effect acids have on the trillions of cells cannot be simply ignored. Obesity is an acidic condition, it develops only by eating those foods that are mostly leaving an acid ash in the human body.
It is very well known and documented that the vast majority of diseases, obesity, inflammatory pain and suffering, excess mucous production and cholesterol, arises from overeating rich, greasy, highly seasoned, denatured or and intoxicating foods, excess of meats (especially red meats) eggs, cheese, and other dairy products, too much fried foods, salt and extremely sweet food, refined and rancid flour and oil products; chemical substances in drugs, intoxicating drinks and our living environment leading to early warning signs of impending illness increasing in intensity.
Making matters worse over time, resulting consecutively in increased mucus & lipid production, water retention and calcium depletion resulting in more chronic degeneration, and not just in developing more sub-acute and acute conditions. Our programs are focused on regeneration, which means reversing the cause of interstitial cellular acidosis leading up to the more serious state of intracellular acidosis.
Important Concerns To Review
Am I Burning Muscle On A Detox?
Does it make sense to believe your body holds onto fat. That it burns muscle instead of the fat if it has fat stored for energy? The body will not use essential tissues for energy unless you go from survival to starvation mode. Which means you have no fat storage left. You’ll safely maintain all of your muscle mass as you lose weight. You’ll only lose muscle if you’re already very lean and go on a low-calorie detox journey with a lot of exercises. During our detox weight loss programs, we advise minimal exercise. The body will always go for the sugar, glycogen and fat first as an energy source. But you will need sufficient amino acid nutrition to repair muscle tissue. Another important factor is that during detox, you want your nervous system in the relaxation mode, not the fight and flee mode through exercise.
Does My Body Hold Unto Fat?
It is impossible when you eat lesser calories that you will not lose weight. One thing you must convince yourself off is that your body does not hold onto fat. It is a myth. Because first of all, all of the fat on your body is basically just stored energy. You get fat when you eat too much (calorie energy excess) your body does not need it and stores it as fat. Your body will have to get its energy by burning fat using the stored energy you built up from eating too much. Your body will never stop burning fat until it’s needs for energy is balanced out. If you eat 2,000 calories per day when your metabolism only burns 1500 calories to maintain your new low weight then you’re not going to lose more weight. As you lose weight you will need fewer calories to maintain that current weight you are on, your metabolism didn’t slow down.

Your Ideal Weight Make It A Priority!
While you initially can lose about 3-5 kg of weight, ( 6,6/11 lbs) on a detoxification program in a week. Some less, some more. You will start losing less in the next week, and less after that.
The first weight loss consists of partly water retention (Edema) loss, depending on your health condition. But this is the kind of water you want to get rid of. Partly excess waste and mucous material loss through colon hydrotherapy. And of course, fat burning through the reduction of calories.
When not detoxing but doing rejuvenation, eating healthy at home you can lose about 900 Kg (2,2 lbs) per week, 3,6 kg/ 8,8 lbs per month.
For those who are committed to change their body shape, and like to have an accurate idea of how much fat you can lose and how much muscle you can gain you will find an ideal Fat Loss Progress Chart below. (Reference: Precision Nutrition).
As a Naturopathic Detoxification Specialist, I do not cure diseases, I work on bringing back homeostatic balance to the body's chemistry through regenerative detoxification. Awakening the natural healing force within each one of us, which is the greatest force in getting well requires an alkaline medium with electrically “alive” nutrients to detoxify, regenerate, and strengthen the trillions of cells in the body, that make up connective tissues, muscles, bones, organs, glands, brain and nerve cells.
